I had the idea of making a video comparing the same horror scene with and without the scary elements (background music, darkness, suspense, etc...) and test the reactions of an audience.

https://prezi.com/wtidgi39fbsz/how-horror-movie-creators-know-societys-fears-and-why-socie/ I chose option 2 from my last post. I haven't decided yet on a decade but at least I have narrowed down to a few options. I have some interesting information on the most common scary factors that horror movies tend to have; yet, they are not from any specific time period.
Should I choose the fifties or the sixties? Movies, filmmaking, and the factors that make them interesting and attract other people.
What time period should I focus on? What genre should I focus on? Alternative topic: How are people that create horror movies able to capture people's greatest fears in them and scare them? What time period should I focus on? |
